About me
Hi, I'm Elo. Welcome to my yoga space.
My name is short for Elodie yet the nickname has lasted my 10 years of teaching.
I started yoga when I was 25, living in Bangkok, Thailand. I quickly got addicted - oops, and completed my first certification in Rishikesh, India, before adding on several ones in-person and online.
I have been sharing and giving classes over the world, mainly in Thailand and Colombia over the past decade and have now decided to bring all of my communities together in an inclusive, borderless space.
My classes are a blend of all styles I have come across in my journey, both around the globe and on my own mat. I try to not limit my teachings to a specific tradition as all of them have something beautiful to bring. I aim to share from a place of experience and authenticity, so you get a unique experience every time you step onto your mat with me.
What you can learn
Styles
The same way our mood and energy levels change, so needs to do our practice. For that reason, I combine all types of yoga I have studied into my classes.
You can find fast-paced, flowy classes or slower, stretchy, calming sequences.
I have studied Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Inside Flow, Yin, Kundalini and more but all my classes are now just my own personal blend.
Philosophy
My goal is to make you explore your own space through movement, getting into a meditative state so the practice can have introspective effects off the mat and hopefully plant the seeds to deepen your curiosity about yoga as a discipline.
Poses - Asanas
I love a good peak pose! And while they can look good, I want to make sure they feel good to YOU. That's why every class has a focus on alignment and variations so you can find your own expression of the pose.
Anatomy
Understanding which muscles are involved in your sequence is a game changer. I look forward to having you work on subtle adjustments so your body feels healthier, regardless of your variation.
Creative Sequencing
I have an obsession with doing things both traditionally and unconventionally. I'm the type of person who likes novelty and changes. Therefore I try to make sure that no two classes of mine look or feel the same!
Get ready for plot twist and surprises every time.
Pranayama
The breath is of course an essential part of our practice so each class will include some conscious exercises to tune into the power of using and channeling our airflow mindfully.
